Sublimation, Tackle Twill or Embroidery?

There are many different ways to decorate your apparel why it can sometimes be confusing to decide which type of application you shall choose, whether it is sublimation printing, tackle twill applique or embroidery we have enclosed some useful information on the different processes here.

SUBLIMATION

You´ve probably learned by now what endless opportunities Sublimation printing technology can create to your design.
With Sublimation printing technology you can simply create a design based on your imagination.
Add digital image, player name, numbering, club logo and much more without paying extra.
Everything is included in the price. Designs are permanent and will never crack, fade or fall out in washing.
This application method is the most cost-effective compared to other processes and can save you a lot of time in production as well.

TACKLE TWILL

Tackle twill embellishment is a process where letters, numbers and logos are cut from poly-twill fabric using laser, digital cutter, or scissors,
and then stitched onto the garment. An adhesive backing tacks the material in place and the edges are satin-stitched using a digital embroidery machine in a matching or contrasting thread. Tackle Twill is knowned for its durability and elegance and is commonly used on Baseball, Ice-Hockey and American Football uniforms giving it a textured feel and elegant bold look.

MACHINE EMBROIDERY

Machine embroidery is a process decorating garment with a needle and thread. It gives a garment more dimension and allows your logo to stand out.
The logo is ‘digitized’ from a high resolution image to determine the number of stitches that are required to make up the image and the total cost it will incur you.
The process is particularly well suited to decorate items such as caps, sportsbags, hoodies, warm-up suits with your team logo, numbering or name initials.
Bear in mind embroidery is a longer process during the production of any garment and a fully sublimated garment will be quicker
to produce from artwork to completed product. If time is tight and you need an order urgently the sublimation process is a very good method of getting the logos onto you items quickly. However, some clubs require certain logos to be embroidered and as long as you bear the higher cost (and sometimes) longer production time in mind then this too is a great option!
We use Madeira yarns for the embroidery with many different shades and strengths to choose from.

HEAT TRANSFER

A Heat Press transfer is a decoration process where artwork is printed onto an adhesive material then melted on desired fabric.
An alternate, cheaper option than embroidery, heat press is usually used for names, logos and playing numbers.
